Playing catch-up... the first few sets of thoughts are from a couple days back because I started envisioning this blog before actualizing it here in the great blogosphere...

Sunday’s ride: Bicycle Heaven group ride route. ~42 miles, complete with many hills and open windy stretches. Rolled out of Heaven at about 12:30 with CKaz and K. KVelo didn’t make it out to join us. Too bad, but understandable… it was a late night (translation: early morning) of festive BH cyclist bonding at the Kelley household (which, by the way, was a unparalleled gathering… an enormous thank-you to the Kelley clan for their hospitality). Well the ride was very enjoyable – due largely to the company, and in remainder to the fine weather and happy state of my legs (as in they actually showed up for the entire ride). I think this ride gets a bit better for me each time I complete it. I am finally getting to the point where I can pick up my head and appreciate my surroundings. There are stretches I savor – even look forward to. I am finding my ability to gauge and anticipate the appropriate exertion of effort for each part of the course fast improving. I had gears to spare by the end of Town Hall, and I felt like I was respectably sporting my new winged kit (which finally includes a jersey that actually fits my fem form – thanks AO!!).
